Ceremony to respond to "Humanitarian Month" in 2025

On May 5, in Krong Nang town (Krong Nang district), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society coordinated with the People's Committee of Dak Lak province to organize a ceremony to respond to the Humanitarian Month 2025.

The 2025 Humanitarian Month was launched nationwide by the Vietnam Red Cross Society with the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love". At the central level, the Vietnam Red Cross Society organized a series of high-profile activities in the three provinces of Quang Tri, Dak Lak, Dong Thap and held the National Humanitarian Month Launching Ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City.

In particular, the Central-level series of activities under the "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love" in Dak Lak took place on May 5 and 6, 2025 in 3 localities: Buon Ma Thuot City, Krong Nang District and Krong Pac District.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society Dang Thi Huong said that Dak Lak is a province with a high rate of poor and near-poor households compared to the whole country with over 62 thousand poor and near-poor households. Here, many schools in remote, isolated and border areas do not have kitchens for boarding students living far away, do not have clean water and sanitation facilities, many households lack capital to develop the economy... so they need the sharing, joining hands, contributing efforts and contributions of organizations and individuals inside and outside the province so that "no one is left behind".

Humanitarian Month 2025, Dak Lak province was honored to be selected by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society to organize on a regional scale with the participation of 18 provinces, cities and sponsors, the medical team supported resources for the Dak Lak Red Cross Society to organize humanitarian activities in the locality. These are gifts filled with love, sharing and deep empathy from the humanitarian hearts of groups, individuals and philanthropists sent to the people in the area.

At the ceremony, many meaningful activities took place such as: organizing medical examinations and providing free medicine for 700 people (supported by the Red Cross Clinic of Dong Anh, Hanoi, worth 590 million VND); giving 50 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances; starting the construction of a boarding kitchen and organizing nutritious meals for students at Ea Ho Primary School.

Along with that, the People's Committee of Krong Nang district donated 200 ao dai to students in difficult circumstances in the district.

Also on the morning of May 5, in Ea Phe commune (Krong Pac district), the Ceremony to respond to Humanitarian Month 2025 took place.

At the ceremony, many practical humanitarian activities took place such as: giving gifts to policy beneficiaries, the poor, ethnic minorities in difficult areas; organizing medical examinations and providing free medicine for 700 people; humanitarian fair; giving 20 bicycles to poor students.

In addition, organizations and individuals have also provided support resources, thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of humanity and sharing in the community, contributing to the good implementation of social security work in the locality.
