The colorful opening ceremony of SEA Games 32

The two-hour colorful performances celebrated the most distinctive aspects of Cambodian culture. From the historical process of Cambodia at the dawn of time to the image of a modern, dynamic Cambodia, with the abundant energy of the young Cambodian generation seen as a continuation of the historical flow, and then ended with an image of the future expectations, progress and global integration of Cambodia, but still closely linked to the cultural identity and history of this country.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang attended the opening ceremony.

An image of Cambodia reaching out to the world while still remembering its historical roots was recreated in a creative and magical way in the opening ceremony. That is also the expectation of the host country of the 32nd SEA Games, through the largest sports festival in Southeast Asia, to be able to promote the cultural image, bring the image of Cambodia beyond the border, and integrate into the common flow of global culture.

The opening ceremony truly touched the hearts of thousands of spectators at Morodok Techo Stadium, and also moved the emotions of millions of fans watching on television with the simplest details. Martial arts, ensemble performances, drums, spears, and shields, which have been associated with the Khmer people since the beginning, were now recreated heroically under the light of technology, but still maintained their original beauty, affirming the desire to preserve and honor the historical values of the Cambodian people and the desire to share those values with the world.

Looking at the Vietnamese flag fluttering on Morodok Techo Stadium as the Vietnamese sports delegation entered the sumptuous light and sound party arranged by the host Cambodia, looking at the hopeful eyes of the athletes, coaches, officials... in the grand opening ceremony showed that Vietnamese sports are ready to face difficulties. Challenges are like the wind, which will extinguish small flames, but can fan the flames of enthusiasm and the desire to conquer new heights.

Also on May 5, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang met with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense and Head of the 32nd SEA Games Organizing Committee Samdech Tea Banh. At the meeting, Mr. Tea Banh emphasized that Cambodia wishes to make a historical mark after more than 60 years of formation and development of the SEA Games, and recalled Vietnam 's success as host of the 31st SEA Games and thanked Vietnam for sharing its experience, actively supporting and helping Cambodia organize the 32nd SEA Games well.

The Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that his country will create the best conditions for the Vietnamese sports delegation as well as other delegations, including free accommodation for athletes and television copyright. Hopefully, with the active support from sports leaders as well as the host Cambodia, in addition to the relentless efforts, with the drops of sweat shed on the training ground of the athletes, Vietnamese sports will have a brilliant and memorable SEA Games, like the sounds and emotions that lingered in the opening moments of the tournament that Cambodia hosted everyone.
