The signing ceremony of the Hanoi Convention ushers in an era of global cooperation on cybersecurity.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, President Luong Cuong emphasized that the Hanoi Convention is an important international legal instrument, opening a new period of cooperation to build a safe, sustainable and human-friendly cyberspace.

On the morning of October 25, the Opening Session of the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime with the theme "Fighting Cybercrime - Sharing Responsibility - Looking Towards the Future" officially took place in Hanoi .

President Luong Cuong chaired the signing ceremony of the Convention with the participation of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and many senior leaders of countries, regional and international organizations.

Speaking at the opening session, President Luong Cuong emphasized that this event marks the beginning of an era of cooperation in fighting cybercrime, together building a safe and sustainable cyberspace.

This is also a global legal tool for countries to be ready to jointly shoulder responsibility for peace , security and stability.

The Hanoi Convention expresses three messages: commitment to shaping security order in global cyberspace; sharing and supporting each other among nations; and the highest goal is for the people, so that technology serves life and no one is left behind.

The name Hanoi Convention expressed in the text of the Convention reflects the international community's recognition of Vietnam's contributions to the development of this document.

Hosting the signing ceremony is a concrete step to affirm the position, demonstrate responsibility and promote cybersecurity initiatives of the Vietnamese Government within the framework of global cooperation./.
