The opening ceremony was attended by current and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; members of the Politburo , the Secretariat, and the Central Committee of the Party; current and former leaders of central and local departments, ministries, agencies, and organizations; and representatives of embassies, diplomatic agencies, and international organizations in Vietnam.

Speaking on behalf of the Party and State leaders at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: “The first Autumn Fair - 2025 is a very important economic and cultural event, not only on a national scale but also internationally, honoring typical products and brands that embody Vietnamese identity and intelligence; contributing to stimulating domestic consumption, spreading the spirit of “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods”, promoting trade, investment, and international integration, aiming for an economic growth rate of over 8% in 2025 and double digits in the following years.”

The fair will be held from October 25th to November 4th, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center - a modern and unique building, a new symbol of the capital city, a place that brings together, illuminates, and spreads the spirit of innovation, creativity, cooperation, and development.
This event follows the resounding success of the "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" exhibition, which fostered national pride, spread patriotism, self-reliance, and the strong aspiration for progress of the Vietnamese people.
With the theme and message "Connecting people with production and business," the first Autumn Fair - 2025 was organized on the largest scale ever, with a total exhibition area of over 130,000 m², comprising 5 themed zones with approximately 3,000 booths; a culinary culture zone featuring 34 localities, along with music festivals, cultural performances, and rich cultural and artistic experiences.
The fair brought together participants from 34 provinces and cities; central ministries and agencies; over 2,500 Vietnamese and international organizations and businesses, and attracted a large number of international partners and friends to showcase products, conduct trade, network, and seek opportunities for cooperation and investment.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the organization of the first Autumn Fair - 2025, noting that despite the short preparation time, large workload, high demands, and vast area requiring coordination from many agencies and units, it achieved "six bests": Largest scale - Most modern space - Most diverse products - Highest quality - Most attractive activities - Best preferential policies.
The fair is a vivid testament to the country's integrated thinking, outstanding capabilities, aspirations for breakthroughs, and contemporary stature; it is also a symbol embodying the spirit of unity, creativity, high determination, great effort, and decisive action – "only talking about doing, not talking about retreating" – of the Government, ministries, localities, the business community, entrepreneurs, and the people of Vietnam.
Beyond just record-breaking numbers, the Fair also provides a favorable opportunity for the promotion of trade, investment, tourism, and the cultural image of Vietnam and its people to be harmoniously and effectively combined; it is a place where domestic and foreign resources are connected, investment cooperation is expanded, trade is boosted, and consumption is stimulated; it is a space for people to experience high-quality Vietnamese goods while enjoying the rich, creative, and unique cuisine, culture, and art of Vietnam.
The fair also serves as an important bridge for Vietnamese businesses to strengthen international economic integration, exchange experiences, and receive technology transfer, especially in the fields of digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, sharing economy, and knowledge economy, contributing to the realization of the two strategic goals for the 100-year period: a peaceful, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam.
With its strategic geographical location and the aspiration to elevate the country to new heights, the first Autumn Fair - 2025 is an important step towards the goal of building Vietnam into a leading exhibition center in Asia, a destination for international trade fairs, contributing to "developing the cultural industry and creative economy into a new pillar of growth" as General Secretary To Lam emphasized.
The Prime Minister acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the Ministry of Industry and Trade, other ministries, departments, localities, businesses, the people, and international friends for their joint efforts, solidarity, and active participation in organizing the first Autumn Fair - 2025.
To ensure the Fair truly becomes a "destination" for trade, a "meeting point" for cultural and artistic exchange, and a "gathering point" for connecting and providing vibrant experiences for the people and international friends, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to meticulously prepare all necessary conditions to ensure the Fair's successful organization; and to move towards organizing a series of annual four-season fairs ("Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter") and an annual International Autumn Fair.

Ministries, departments, agencies, units, and localities should actively and proactively promote and introduce typical and outstanding products, especially OCOP products; organize investment, tourism, and trade promotion programs, and bring Vietnamese brands to the world market. The Hanoi People's Committee should effectively ensure security and order, fire prevention and control, traffic safety, and support for people attending the Fair.
Associations, corporations, and businesses continue to promote and introduce their products; diversify markets, products, and supply chains; proactively seek partners, access new technologies and markets; and participate extensively in regional and global production networks and supply chains.
The Prime Minister requested international organizations to strengthen cooperation, introduce the Fair to a wider audience of friends around the world; promote cultural exchange; support and connect with Vietnamese partners and businesses, especially in the fields of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transformation... Press and media agencies should focus on reporting on the Fair, spreading the spirit of innovation, arousing national pride and self-respect, and promoting the image of Vietnam to the international community.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the first Autumn Fair - 2025 not only opens up a new space for connection between businesses and consumers, between Vietnam and the world, and between people and production and business, but more importantly, it is a place for "the source of creativity - the shining of intellect - exchange and learning - affirming capabilities - spreading pride" and the spirit of "the State creating - the pioneering enterprise - the public and private sector working together - a prosperous nation - a happy people". The success of the Fair will further strengthen confidence, ignite aspirations, and foster determination to propel the country forward, conquer new heights, and affirm the position and stature of the Vietnamese nation on the international stage.

Also at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh extended his deepest condolences and greetings to the people and soldiers in the areas affected by natural disasters and floods; and expressed his admiration for the solidarity, resilience, and perseverance of the people.
The Prime Minister requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front and called on the business community, citizens, and soldiers nationwide to continue donating and supporting the people in the flood-stricken areas, demonstrating "national solidarity and brotherly love," and "helping those in need." Sharing is an expression of humanity, spreading positive values and upholding social responsibility, which is also the inherent goodness of our regime. The Prime Minister thanked organizations and individuals both domestically and internationally for their concern and contributions to disaster prevention, control, and recovery efforts, helping people to quickly stabilize their lives and restore production and business.
