Tree planting launch ceremony in 2025

In 2024, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will coordinate with socio-political organizations, the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Bac district and Phan Thiet city to plant trees on National Highway 1A - from Phu Long bridge to the northern roundabout of Phan Thiet city with an implementation cost of 80 million VND. In 2025, the remaining 3 routes will continue to be implemented with a total cost of nearly 870 million VND from socialized sources, mobilizing organizations, enterprises inside and outside the province, union members, members, officials and civil servants of agencies. Specifically, the route connecting the North-South expressway in Ham Kiem commune to the National Highway 1A intersection; Nguyen Thong route - from Vo Nguyen Giap roundabout to Phu Hai bridge and National Highway 1A - from the northern roundabout to the southern roundabout of Phan Thiet city.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Van Tri affirmed: Tree planting always plays a very important role in the context of environmental pollution and global climate change today. Along with promoting industrialization, modernization and urbanization, protecting the ecological environment is extremely important, ensuring sustainable development and protecting people's lives.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee suggested that the Front and socio-political organizations, local Party committees and authorities need to widely propagate in many forms to cadres, civil servants, public employees in agencies, units and people about the purpose and significance of tree planting, the role, great effects, long-term benefits, and humanistic values of tree planting. From there, further spread the tree planting movement throughout the province, contributing to building the homeland to develop more comprehensively and sustainably, ensuring a green - clean - beautiful environment.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the provincial leaders and delegates planted 300 oil trees along the road leading to the North-South Expressway in Ham Kiem Commune (Ham Thuan Nam) to the National Highway 1A intersection with a total cost of nearly 200 million VND. The remaining two routes (Nguyen Thong route - from Vo Nguyen Giap roundabout to Phu Hai bridge and National Highway 1A - from the northern roundabout to the southern roundabout of Phan Thiet city) are expected to continue planting by the end of May 2025.

In recent times, Binh Thuan province has implemented many tree planting and forest planting movements, programs and activities.
