Candle lighting ceremony to commemorate War Invalids and Martyrs Day

DNO - On the afternoon of July 26, at the City Martyrs' Cemetery in Quang Phu Ward, the City Youth Union and the Veterans Association of Da Nang City coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Phu Ward to organize a candle lighting ceremony to commemorate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union Le Kim Thuong sent his deep gratitude to war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions, and called on all levels of the Youth Union and Youth Union members and youth in the city to be more aware and responsible for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

“The war has long gone, but the sacred values from the sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs, of the previous generation, are always a precious spiritual foundation, guiding the way for today's youth to move forward. Each candle lit tonight will forever be a sacred symbol of the sense of responsibility, gratitude and aspiration for a useful life of today's youth. We are grateful to live better, to move forward with determination and action,” said Mr. Le Kim Thuong.

At the program, 20 gifts of gratitude were presented to former youth volunteers and veterans who participated in the resistance war.
