Awarding ceremony of the 1st "Dynamic, Creative and Responsible Female Union Members" Award, 2025

On the evening of October 15, at the Vietnam - Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor solemnly held the Award Ceremony for the first "Dynamic, Creative, Responsible Female Union Members" and summarized and commended the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework", period 2020 - 2025.

Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang, President of the Vietnam Farmers' Association Luong Quoc Doan; representatives of departments, ministries, branches, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and localities; along with 20 collectives and 70 outstanding female union members nationwide.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized: During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always cared about and highly appreciated the role of Vietnamese women in the development of national history. He affirmed that women are one of the decisive factors in the success or failure of the revolution in the cause of national liberation. Uncle Ho said: "Under the leadership of the Party, our women have contributed greatly to the success of the revolution and the glorious victory of the resistance war. In the glorious ranks of military heroes, labor heroes, emulation fighters and advanced workers, there are all women. Our women participate more and more effectively in the economic, political, cultural and social sectors."

Imbued with his teachings, over the years, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has always paid attention to, recognized and promoted the role of female workers, civil servants and laborers, maintained the organization and developed emulation movements, typically the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" among female workers, civil servants and laborers. Through the stages, the movement has always been focused by the Trade Union organization on the grassroots, encouraging female union members and laborers to overcome difficulties and complete assigned tasks well. Trade unions at all levels have created and specified the content of the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" to suit the reality and each profession.

Besides, the movement is always linked with the emulation movement "Good worker, creative worker", the movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era".

After nearly 4 decades of implementation, it has been affirmed that the movement is not only a competitive slogan but has become the personal need and aspiration of millions of Vietnamese women to shine in both "family" and "society" aspects.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded certificates of merit to 1,500 typical collectives and individuals in the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework". From the results of the movement, hundreds of female cadres, workers and civil servants were awarded the Creative Labor Certificate of the General Confederation. Many of them were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister and noble Medals of various types by the President. Many of them were awarded the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period, the title of People's Physician, Teacher, Meritorious or other honorary titles, and received noble national and international awards...

“The success of the movements and the growth of each exemplary union member is proof of the role of the Trade Union in accompanying, caring and protecting, and at the same time is the driving force for the Vietnam Trade Union to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, promoting the potential, intelligence and creativity of female union members and workers in the new period,” affirmed the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

According to the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the awarding ceremony of the first "Dynamic, Creative, Responsible Female Union Members" Award and the preliminary summary and commendation of the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" for the period 2020 - 2025 is an opportunity to honor and commend the great contributions of female union members and workers in all fields and activities of economic and social life. This is also an opportunity for the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to organize a wide-ranging political activity, promoting the creative potential of women in general, female workers and civil servants in particular, to actively strive and practice to achieve many outstanding achievements, contributing to the successful implementation of the country's socio-economic development tasks in the current renovation process.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh praised the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and all levels of trade unions for their many initiatives and continuous efforts in participating in solving pressing and urgent issues of workers. In particular, the program for women, such as: implementing the construction of trade union social housing; models of "your health", "mass wedding", "summer camp for children of workers"... In particular, the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" after more than three decades of implementation has increasingly attracted the active participation of Vietnamese women and become a strong driving force to unleash the great potential of female union members and workers.

According to the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, the country is entering an era of growth, prosperity, civilization, and happiness with the aspiration to build a strong and prosperous country. This great mission requires greater consensus and determination than ever before, and in which the role and potential of women must be liberated and maximized.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that Party committees, authorities, ministries and branches at all levels must consider women's work and gender equality as a central and continuous political task. It is necessary to resolutely remove all barriers and gender prejudices, ensuring a truly equal environment. It is necessary to continue to improve the legal framework, better protect the legitimate rights of female workers, especially in the informal sector.

At the same time, Trade Unions at all levels must strongly innovate, placing women's work and the advancement of women at the center, identifying this as the highest responsibility of leaders of Trade Union organizations...

For each female union member and worker, the Deputy Prime Minister hopes that female union members will continue to promote the glorious and resilient tradition; always nurture within themselves great aspirations, dare to think, dare to do, dare to contribute to the Fatherland and family.

The Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded certificates of merit to 20 collectives and 60 individuals honored in the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" for the period 2020 - 2025.
