Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will organize many meaningful activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Con Dao (April 27, 1975 - April 27, 2025).
The highlight is the art program called "50 years of triumphant rise" combined with high-altitude fireworks display at Ba Ria Park Square on the evening of April 26, 2025.
The Provincial Party Committee has approved a detailed plan for this series of events. Fireworks will be set off at Ba Ria Park Square on the night of April 26, creating a bustling and sacred atmosphere for people to join in the great celebration.
Previously, on April 24, the province will hold a ceremony to visit the Martyrs' Cemetery, inaugurate the Hero Vo Thi Sau Park and Memorial House, and start construction of the connecting road to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway and open technical traffic for component project 3 of this expressway.
On April 25, the province held a meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, combining gratitude and exchanges with historical witnesses and those who participated in the resistance war.
Continuing the activities, on May 3 in Con Dao district, the province held a ceremony to visit Hang Duong Cemetery and inaugurate the Con Dao Military-Civilian Medical Center.
Also on this day, there will be a meeting to pay tribute to revolutionary soldiers who were imprisoned in Con Dao, and a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Con Dao Liberation with a special political art program.
