Hanoi announced a road closure schedule for the weekend of October 26 to serve the signing ceremony of the Hanoi Convention. Vehicles going to Hanoi on the third ring road should pay attention.

According to the announcement of Hanoi City Police, the road ban schedule is applied on many central streets to ensure security for the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime. The event takes place at the National Convention Center (No. 2 Thang Long Avenue, Nam Tu Liem District) on October 25 and 26, 2025.

From 6:00 to 16:00 on October 26, 2025.

Routes are prohibited and restricted from traffic

According to the road ban schedule, trucks weighing 1.5 tons or more and passenger cars with 16 seats or more are temporarily banned from circulating (except buses, garbage trucks, official vehicles and priority vehicles as prescribed).

The routes affected by the traffic ban schedule include: Kim Ma, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Tran Duy Hung , Pham Hung (from Me Tri to Thang Long Boulevard) , Do Duc Duc, Mieu Dam, elevated Ring Road 3 (from Ho Tung Mau to Thanh Tri Bridge) and Thang Long Boulevard service road (from Pham Hung to Provincial Road 70 overpass) .

In addition, authorities will organize traffic flow guidance at key intersections to ensure smooth traffic during the road closure period.

Alternative routes during road closures

To avoid areas with scheduled road closures, residents and drivers can choose alternative travel routes.

Vehicles from the Eastern provinces such as Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh going to the North or Northwest such as Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang can follow the route Thanh Tri bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway - National Highway 18 or Thanh Tri bridge - Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi - National Highway 6.

Vehicles traveling from Vo Van Kiet, Thang Long Bridge to Thang Long Avenue should choose the route Pham Van Dong - Ho Tung Mau - Cau Dien - National Highway 32 - Provincial Road 70 to avoid areas on the road ban schedule.

Hanoi City Police require road users to strictly follow the instructions of the authorities during the road closure period. When encountering a priority vehicle, people should quickly change to the other lane or stop at the nearest intersection to give way.

The Department of Construction and related units were also asked to adjust passenger bus routes and limit operations on routes included in the road ban schedule, contributing to ensuring order, safety and supporting the organization of international events.
