Lunar New Year holiday schedule for university students in Northern Vietnam in 2026

Foreign Trade University

Speaking to VietNamNet , Ms. Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of the Training Management Department at the Foreign Trade University, said that the Lunar New Year holiday for students of the university in 2026 will be 3 weeks long, from February 9th (December 22nd of the lunar calendar) to March 1st, 2026 (January 13th of the lunar calendar).

National Economics University

According to Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of the Training Management Department at the National Economics University, the university plans to give students a Lunar New Year holiday from February 8, 2026 (corresponding to the 21st day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake) to March 1, 2026 (corresponding to the 13th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Horse).

Hanoi University of Science and Technology

According to Ms. Pham Thanh Huyen, Head of the Student Affairs Department of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the planned Lunar New Year holiday for students in 2026 is from February 9th to 22nd. "However, since February 8th falls on a Sunday, students will have their holiday starting from February 8th," Ms. Huyen informed.
