Quarter-final schedule of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship - Graphics: AN BINH
After the group stage, the eight names participating in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship have been determined. They are China, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, Iran, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
Of the eight teams in the quarterfinals, Iran’s women’s futsal team is the only team to have won the Asian Championship. The Asian Women’s Futsal Championship has only been held twice (2015 and 2018) and Iran won both times. In both championships, Iran’s women’s futsal team defeated Japan in the final.
The remaining teams such as China, Chinese Taipei, and Indonesia have the best achievement of the quarter-finals. The Vietnamese women's futsal team reached the semi-finals in 2018, while Thailand finished third that same year (beating Vietnam in the third-place match).
Hong Kong is the worst performing women's futsal team in the quarterfinals. Before 2025, Hong Kong had never tasted the taste of playing in the knockout round of the Asian Women's Futsal Championship.
According to the schedule, the quarter-finals of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship will take place on May 13. The specific quarter-final matches include: Vietnam vs. Japan (10am), Thailand - Hong Kong (1pm), China - Indonesia (4pm), and Chinese Taipei - Iran (7pm).
