Official high school graduation exam schedule 2025

The Ministry of Education and Training has officially announced the 2025 high school graduation exam schedule for two groups of candidates studying two general education programs.

Accordingly, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam will be held on June 25, 26, 27, and 28, 2025. Of which: June 25, 2025 is for exam registration procedures; June 26, 27, 2025 is for exam supervision; June 28, 2025 is reserved.

In 2025, compared to previous years, 1 exam session and 2 exam subjects will be reduced, thereby reducing pressure and social costs while still ensuring exam quality.

The Ministry of Education and Training notes that candidates' photos on the system must have a minimum resolution of 400x600 pixels, be taken in ID-style, and no more than 6 months before the application submission date.

During the process of registering for exams, preliminary registration, and university and college admission, candidates must use a unified type of identification document: ID card/CCCD/NDDCN/Passport number.

During the registration period, candidates wishing to apply for university and college admission must declare on the software complete and correct information with evidence to enjoy priority in university and college admission according to regulations.

The Ministry of Education and Training also informed the Department of Education and Training code and the examination council code for the 2025 high school graduation exam as follows:

In 2025, the total number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam is 1,165,289; an increase of 93,894 compared to last year.

Of which, the number of candidates taking the exam under the 2018 General Education Program is 1,138,579, accounting for 97.71% of the total number of candidates registered for the exam. The number of candidates taking the exam under the 2006 General Education Program is 26,711, accounting for 2.29% of the total number of candidates registered for the exam.
