Parade, grand parade on Le Duan street
The rehearsals, preliminary and final rehearsals for the state-level parade will take place from April 18 to 27 on Le Duan Street, from 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. (April 18, 22, 25) and from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 27 (general rehearsal). In particular, the official celebration will take place on the morning of April 30, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., with the participation of Party and State leaders, a large number of armed forces and people from all walks of life.
Drone and fireworks show in the sky of the City
One of the most anticipated highlights is the drone show and fireworks show taking place on April 26, which will feature 2,000 drones performing aerial art in the Saigon River area (opposite Nguyen Hue Street, District 1) at 9:15 p.m., followed by high-altitude fireworks on the other side of the Saigon River (Thu Duc City) taking place at 9:30 p.m.
On April 30, there will be a display of 10,500 drones, setting a Vietnamese record. This program will take place from 8:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in the Saigon River area. High-altitude fireworks will light up simultaneously at the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and Ben Duoc Temple (Cu Chi District) along with 28 low-altitude fireworks displays in districts, towns, and Thu Duc City at 9 p.m.
3D mapping combines multinational art
On the evenings of April 19, 26, 29 and 30, the 3D mapping light art program with the theme “50-year journey - Heritage and Future” will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the front of the People's Council - People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. The program has the participation of creative groups from France, Singapore, Belgium and Vietnam, combining sound, light and vivid images on the iconic architecture of the City.
Street art and cavalry parade
On the evening of April 30, Nguyen Hue Street will become a vibrant stage with two special activities: a cavalry parade by the Mobile Police Force (7:00 p.m. - 7:25 p.m.) and a community-interactive “Turban Dance” performance (starting at 7:00 p.m.).
In addition, Military Region 7 also coordinated with units to organize special art programs including: The television program "Peace epic"; the art program "The country is full of joy"... These are art programs to affirm the strong belief and aspiration to develop the country in the new era, in the same spirit that Ho Chi Minh City has continuously risen over the past 50 years: from hardship, to become the leading economic - cultural center of the country.
Cultural and sports festival
According to the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, the theme "Colors of Uncle Ho's City" opens a series of special events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). This program takes place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 19, April 26, April 29 and April 30.
The series of activities were held at a series of symbolic locations in the city center such as: the area in front of the People's Council - People's Committee headquarters, the intersections of Nguyen Hue - Le Loi, Mac Thi Buoi, Ngo Duc Ke streets and Ben Bach Dang Park.
A representative of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said that “Colors of Uncle Ho’s City” is not only a series of activities to celebrate the country’s important holiday, but also an opportunity to introduce the image of a dynamic, creative and culturally rich city to domestic and international friends.
According to the authorities, in order to be able to follow the above events smoothly, people need to proactively follow traffic flow announcements during rehearsal and event times to move smoothly. They should arrive early at the performance locations to choose a good location, and at the same time follow the instructions of the authorities to ensure safety.
