Long An Provincial Labor Federation presents Trade Union Shelter in Ben Tre Province

Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation - Le Thi Thu Cuc (5th, left) presented the decision to donate the Trade Union Shelter to Ms. Nguyen Thao Nguyen (6th, left)

The Union Shelter was awarded to Ms. Nguyen Thao Nguyen, a union member of the Tan Tao University Union (Duc Hoa district).

The house was built in Vinh Hung 2 Hamlet, Vinh Thanh Commune, Cho Lach District, Ben Tre Province with an area of 40m². The house has a foundation, reinforced concrete columns, walls, corrugated iron roof, cement floor with a total cost of 100 million VND. Of which, the Golden Heart Charity Fund Branch in Long An supported 70 million VND, the rest was contributed by family and relatives, including working days.

Ms. Thao Nguyen is living with her mother. In 2018, her family borrowed 260 million VND from the bank to build a house, but only completed half of the house. Because the house is next to the Cai Mon River, in recent years, the tide has risen high, causing her house to be frequently flooded. Her family still owes the bank, so they do not have enough money to continue building and repairing the house.

With that difficulty in housing, Ms. Thao Nguyen was considered by the Provincial Labor Federation and awarded the Trade Union Shelter .

She hoped that she would continue to preserve and renovate the house to make it more and more spacious; at the same time, she would feel secure in her work, excellently complete the assigned tasks, and actively participate in Trade Union activities./.
