Since the beginning of 2025, Long An province has recorded damages caused by natural disasters and landslides, affecting people's lives and infrastructure in some localities.

From the beginning of 2025 to now, there have been 6 landslides and subsidence points in the province.

According to statistics, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the whole province has had 6 dangerous landslides and subsidence points in Thanh Hoa (1 point), Can Giuoc (2 points) and Tan Thanh (2 points) districts, with a total landslide length of nearly 2,000m.

Landslides mainly occurred along canals and streams, affecting people's travel and production activities. Heavy rains, storms, tornadoes, and lightning also caused property damage estimated at VND12.6 billion. Specifically, in the whole province, 1 house completely collapsed, 87 houses had their roofs blown off, and 10 medium-voltage and low-voltage power poles also fell. In addition, 2 people were killed (including 1 child) and 1 person was injured.

Besides, saline intrusion in the 2024-2025 dry season also affects production.

According to initial statistics, the estimated damage caused by natural disasters from the beginning of 2025 to present is about 12.6 billion VND.

Faced with the above situation, local authorities are actively implementing measures to support people to overcome the consequences; at the same time, strengthening inspection and monitoring of areas at high risk of landslides and subsidence to promptly respond and ensure safety for people.
