Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation donated 100 million VND to support union members, workers and employees of Hai Phong city affected by Storm No. 3.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of September 16, the working delegation of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor presented 100 million VND to support union members, workers and employees of Hai Phong city affected by Storm No. 3.
At the Conference, Comrade Vo Manh Son, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation sent his regards and sympathies to all levels of the Labor Union as well as union members, workers and civil servants of Hai Phong City. He hoped that through the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, the gifts would reach workers and civil servants in difficult circumstances, affected by Storm No. 3 in the city.
According to the preliminary report of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, by 5:00 p.m. on September 12, 2024, Storm No. 3 caused damage, killing 2 workers and injuring 96 workers; 284 enterprises suffered damage to facilities, machinery, equipment, and goods estimated at thousands of billions of VND; 148 houses of workers and laborers in difficult circumstances were severely damaged.
With the cooperation of the Labor Federations of other provinces and cities, the Labor Federation of Hai Phong City spent 15 billion VND from the Trade Union Shelter to support and care for workers affected by Storm No. 3; supported 1 billion VND to share the damage with businesses; in addition, spent 1.2 billion VND to support the northern mountainous provinces that suffered heavy damage due to floods.
