Lien Son has broken through from a foundation of consolidation, rising to become a shining example of development.

One of the key drivers behind the transformation of Lien Son is the breakthrough in investment in technical infrastructure aimed at attracting industrial production projects to the locality.

Breakthroughs stemming from infrastructure.

Over the past period, Luong Son commune has mobilized resources to invest in socio-economic infrastructure, opening up opportunities for breakthroughs for the locality. By the end of 2025, the total social investment capital in Luong Son commune is expected to reach approximately 5,080 billion VND; average per capita income is estimated at 65 million VND/person, exceeding the set plan. The value of industrial and handicraft production is expected to reach approximately 5,830 billion VND, with an average growth rate of 16% per year, becoming an important pillar in the economic structure. Simultaneously, agriculture continues to play a fundamental role with a production value of over 850 billion VND, a growth rate of 5.7%, strongly focusing on commodity production and increasing value per unit area.

Comrade Bui Quoc Hoan, Chairman of the Lien Son Commune People's Committee, stated: One of the key driving forces creating a new face for Lien Son is the breakthrough in infrastructure investment. In the past period, the commune has started construction on 133 technical and social infrastructure projects with a total investment of over 1,134 billion VND; of which, 47 projects have been completed and put into use. The transportation, electricity, water, school, health station, market, and cultural institutions have been invested in comprehensively, creating an important foundation to promote socio-economic development and improve the quality of life for the people.

The Party and government leaders of Lien Son commune have focused on listening to and resolving people's requests and suggestions, with the spirit of putting the people at the center.

Notably, Lien Son is gradually becoming a destination for industrial and urban investors. The commune currently has one established industrial park with completed land clearance; another industrial park and four industrial clusters have been planned. Planning work has been implemented systematically, with 100% coverage of the general plan and over 51% coverage of the sub-area plan. Many detailed 1/500 scale planning projects have been approved, creating the foundation for the formation of new urban areas, ecological zones, and modern service zones in the locality.

A new look from a disadvantaged region.

What gives Lien Son its depth and widespread impact is not only the large-scale projects or growth figures, but also the vivid manifestation of development at the grassroots level, from hamlets once considered "low-lying areas" of poverty. Suoi Bu hamlet is a prime example of this.

Lien Son has broken through from a foundation of consolidation, rising to become a shining example of development.

The people of Suoi Bu hamlet are delighted with the daily changes in their homeland.

Originally a hamlet facing extremely difficult conditions, just five or seven years ago, Suoi Bu was known by locals as the "hamlet of many lacks": no roads, no stable electricity, and no effective economic models. Leading us along the newly opened, wide concrete road through the rice fields, hamlet head Dinh Cong Thuan couldn't hide his emotion as he recounted: where the road stands today, it was once a deep, muddy field, with pathways barely wide enough for a single door plank. In the rainy season, it was muddy; in the dry season, dust covered the rooftops; poverty clung to every house here.

However, thanks to the concerted efforts of officials, Party members, and the people, along with timely support from the State, Suoi Bu has undergone a dramatic transformation. 100% of the roads in the hamlet have been paved; the cultural center, sports field, and environmental sanitation facilities have been invested in according to the principle of joint efforts between the State and the people. More importantly, the people have boldly shifted their production mindset, developing production forests, planting bamboo for shoots, fruit trees, and combining it with livestock farming. By 2025, the average income of the hamlet is expected to reach nearly 50 million VND per person; only 6 poor households will remain. Many households have become well-off with incomes of hundreds of millions of VND per year, and some family economic models even reach 600-700 million VND per year.

Besides attracting social investment, Lien Son also focuses on investing in human resources, improving the capacity and qualifications of commune officials to better serve the people and businesses.

Not only Suoi Bu, but Khuoc hamlet, once an isolated area "piercing through the clouds and mountains," is also undergoing a strong transformation after the concrete road connecting the hamlet to the commune center was invested in. From monoculture of corn and cassava, the people of Khuoc hamlet have switched to growing oranges and pomelos, and developing commercial livestock farming. Many households achieve an income of 250 million VND/year or more. From being unknown, Khuoc hamlet has now become a well-known supplier of commercial livestock and poultry in the region.

From large-scale infrastructure projects to concrete roads winding through small hamlets, from industrial zones and future urban areas to effective household economic models, Lien Son is aiming for rapid yet sustainable development, putting the people at the center, using infrastructure as a foundation, and making strong breakthroughs.
