The weather forecast bulletin for the early morning of May 23 from the provincial Hydrometeorological Station said that due to the influence of a low pressure trough compressed by a cold continental high pressure system in the north with an axis passing through the North, combined with high-altitude wind convergence, from this morning, May 23 to tomorrow morning, May 24, Hai Duong province will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms.

From noon and afternoon of May 24, moderate to heavy rain tends to decrease, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the area. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Rainfall is generally 40 - 70 mm, with some places over 80 mm. There is a high risk of landslides, especially in areas with steep terrain.

Experts warn that heavy rain may be accompanied by thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds that can break trees, damage houses and cause flooding of crops.
