Continuous hail occurs in Meo Vac district

NDO - On the afternoon of April 24, in Niem Son commune, Meo Vac district (Ha Giang), hail and whirlwinds occurred, causing damage to people's property and crops.

Accordingly, the hailstorm and whirlwind lasted about 15 minutes with great intensity, the hailstones were more than 1cm in diameter with high density, damaging the roofs of some households.

In addition, crop areas were also affected, including some newly planted corn areas that were broken.

Previously, on the night of April 23 and early morning of April 24, hail and whirlwinds also occurred in Pai Lung and Tat Nga communes, causing the roofs of 3 houses to be blown off.

The dense hail caused many houses to have their roofs punctured.

Immediately after the hailstorm, the communes mobilized local forces to help affected households overcome the consequences.

At the same time, continue to propagate to people to proactively reinforce their houses and prevent natural disasters from the beginning of the season; regularly update and monitor weather conditions to be proactive in natural disaster prevention and control.
