Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas flew Messi and the Ballon d'Or back to the US on a private jet. On social network X (formerly known as Twitter), businessman Jorge Mas posted a photo of himself and Messi on the plane. He captioned it: "Another passenger has boarded the flight with us, the Ballon d'Or, to return to Inter Miami together."
Businessman Jorge Mas was in Paris for the Ballon d'Or ceremony with the club's other co-owner, David Beckham. It was Beckham who presented the Ballon d'Or to Messi on stage.

Sharing at the ceremony, Beckham said: "It is special and proud to say that Messi is an Inter Miami player and lives in the beautiful city of Miami. He will celebrate this title with his teammates and family in his own way.
We will also celebrate this title the Miami way. I am sure everyone will have a great time."
Inter Miami FC has scheduled a ceremony to honor Messi's 8th Ballon d'Or. The ceremony is expected to take place in February 2024, when Inter Miami will play a friendly match against Newell's Old Boys (Argentina). This is the team that Messi played for as a child.
Inter Miami will travel to China in early November, where they will play a friendly match against Qingdao Hainiu on November 8. It is not yet clear whether Messi will go to China or not.
