Liverpool continue to shop wildly

The port city team has set its sights on Marc Guehi, Crystal Palace's mainstay centre-back, with an expected transfer fee of around 58 million euros.

Guehi is being watched by Liverpool.

With Jarell Quansah joining Bayer Leverkusen and Ibrahima Konate planning to join Real Madrid, adding a quality centre-back is a must for Liverpool.

According to Mundo Deportivo , Marc Guehi is the next name that the Premier League champions are targeting in this summer's transfer window. The English centre-back is not only solid in defence but also has good ball handling ability, which is very suitable for Arne Slot's modern control style of play. He also had a successful season when helping Crystal Palace win the FA Cup.

Crystal Palace know they can't keep Guehi for much longer with just one year left on his contract, but the club still want a fair price and Liverpool are ready to meet it.

However, the "Red Brigade" will still have to compete with Tottenham, a team that also wants Guehi to prepare for the upcoming Champions League season. However, the advantage seems to be leaning towards Anfield as Marc Guehi himself is said to prefer to wear a Liverpool shirt.

Liverpool are having a booming transfer window, having spent a total of more than €230 million on high-profile signings such as Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Jeremie Frimpong. In addition, the deal to recruit Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt for a fee of €90 million is gradually being completed, pushing the Anfield team's total spending in the summer of 2025 to over €350 million.
