Previously, Phu Hung Securities Company (stock code PHS) also reported revenue of VND 479.8 billion in 2024 and pre-tax loss of more than VND 13.4 billion.
Revealing loss-making companies in 2024 among businesses reporting huge profits

Or Giai Phong Auto Corporation (stock code GGG) reported revenue of 17.3 billion VND in the fourth quarter of 2024, 11 times higher than in the fourth quarter of 2023. However, after deducting expenses, the company suffered a loss of more than 4 billion VND in the last quarter. In total, the company lost more than 18 billion VND in 2024. Thus, this company has been losing money for 14 consecutive years.
Meanwhile, the first power company to report a loss in the fourth quarter of 2024 was Hai Phong Thermal Power Joint Stock Company (stock code HND). In the fourth quarter of 2024, HND achieved net revenue of VND 2,431 billion, down 7% over the same period in 2023 and suffered a loss after tax of VND 246 million. Explaining the reason for the loss in the fourth quarter of 2024, HND said it was mainly due to a number of major repair projects, unit No. 2 was completed and put into use in December 2024, so the cost of major repairs was recorded in December 2024. However, thanks to the profit in the first 3 quarters of 2024, HND's cumulative revenue for the whole year was VND 11,036 billion, with a profit after tax of VND 422 billion, down about 4% compared to 2023.
Another company, Hanoi Alcohol and Beverage Joint Stock Company (Halico - stock code HNR), has just announced its financial report for the fourth quarter of 2024 with a period of continued losses. Accordingly, Halico achieved net revenue in the fourth quarter of 2024 of VND 32.4 billion, an increase of 8% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023, but suffered a net loss of VND 949 million. Thus, in 2024, Halico suffered losses for 3 quarters. For the whole year, Halico achieved net revenue of VND 112.2 billion, an increase of 11% compared to 2023 and suffered a loss of VND 8.4 billion, a slight decrease compared to the loss of VND 9.8 billion for the whole year of 2023...
