Worried about the heavy IT industry, quick elimination

I was advised to choose Information Technology but found this major heavy and difficult, and I was eliminated very quickly when I started working.

Hello everyone. I was born in 2005, studying block A01 (Math, Physics, English), preparing to apply for university but still can't decide which major to choose. My academic ability is not considered excellent, but my achievements in natural sciences are quite good. I really like Math and like to sit and research the issues that interest me.

Many people advised me to choose Information Technology. However, according to my research, this major is eliminated very quickly. During the study process, few people can keep up because the curriculum is heavy and difficult. I know nothing about Information Technology in high school.

So I want to ask if I can study Information Technology? Are the job opportunities for normal students high?

My family is not very rich so I dare not gamble and miss out on choosing this major. I look forward to hearing everyone's opinions. Thank you.
