Residents in Thanh Ha urban area (Thanh Oai district, Hanoi ) have proactively moved cars and motorbikes to higher areas to avoid flooding. Many people even brought their vehicles to the apartment building yard to minimize risks.

Before the news of the flood, Mr. Nguyen The Luc, a resident of building HH02-2B, proactively moved his personal car to the common yard of area 6 to ensure the safety of his property.

He shared: "Every time I read information about flooding on social media, I am very worried about my car. So today I decided to move the car up high as a precaution.

In addition, the Red River water level also rose rapidly, exceeding alert level 2. Many riverside areas in Hanoi were flooded overnight.

The security guard at the basement of block 6 of Thanh Ha apartment building said that moving cars to park in the common yard of the building was the wish of the residents. The security department has not received any directive from the management board.

"To ensure the safety of people's property, we agreed to open the gate so people could move their vehicles from the basement to a higher area," said the guard.
