A 20-ton truck was traveling on Highway 6 through Chuong My district when suddenly the left front wheel flew off the axle and crashed into a market, injuring three people.
At 4:30 p.m. on January 8, a Howo truck carrying soil was traveling on Highway 6 in the direction of Hoa Binh - Hanoi when it reached the traditional market in Dong Phuong Yen commune, Chuong My district, when an accident occurred.

The front wheel of the truck flew off the axle and went about 60 meters onto the roadside, hitting a group of people buying fruit, including someone holding a small child. The Howo truck continued for about 20 meters before stopping.
A witness said: "The wheel flew off at a very fast speed. When I saw it, I only had time to scream before I heard screams in the fruit selling area."
As a result, two people had to be hospitalized, one person was slightly injured and received first aid on the spot, the child was fortunately uninjured.

At the scene, the fruit stand was about 5 meters from the edge of Highway 6, the vendor's chair was broken. The truck's wheel was close to the stand. The ground was covered in oil stains, and the firecrackers were crushed. The police are investigating the accident.
National Highway 6 is over 470 km long, connecting Hanoi with the Northwest, passing through Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Son La and Dien Bien . Traffic density is high, but the section through Hanoi is quite narrow, only about 7 m, the road surface is rough, and many accidents have occurred.
Hanoi City is renovating 21.7 km of National Highway 6 through Ha Dong and Chuong My districts, with a total investment of VND8,000 billion, expected to be completed in 2027.
