Selecting a contractor for package 5.10 of Long Thanh International Airport Project ensures efficiency.
Recently, the Ministry of Planning and Investment sent a document to the Prime Minister requesting the results of the examination of the bidding documents for package 5.10 of Component Project 3, Long Thanh International Airport Project Phase 1.
After reviewing the above document, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) to study and fully absorb the recommendations of the Ministry of Planning and Investment in the process of selecting contractors for package 5.10 to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
The Ministry of Transport , the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, according to their assigned functions and tasks, will continue to monitor, promptly direct, and guide ACV in the process of selecting contractors and implementing package 5.10 to ensure quality, progress, and efficiency in accordance with the provisions of law.
* Long Thanh International Airport Phase 1 Project is an important infrastructure project of Vietnam, aiming to reduce pressure on Tan Son Nhat Airport and develop traffic, trade, tourism and investment connections between Vietnam and countries in the region and the world.
The project is designed to serve 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo per year upon completion. Among the project's packages, package 5.10 "Construction and installation of equipment for the Passenger Terminal" is the largest package, with a scale of VND 35,233 billion. This package includes the design of construction drawings and construction and installation of equipment for the Passenger Terminal of Component Project 3 - Essential works in the airport. This is a complex project, requiring accuracy, quality, high technology and compliance with international standards. Therefore, the organization of contractor selection for this package is also very important and must comply with the provisions of the law on bidding.
Recently, the Ministry of Planning and Investment issued a Conclusion on the results of the examination of the Bidding Documents for Package 5.10 of Component Project 3, under the Long Thanh International Airport Project Phase 1, with ACV as the investor. According to this Conclusion, the Ministry of Planning and Investment affirmed that ACV must ensure that the process and procedures for organizing the selection of contractors for Package 5.10 comply with the provisions of the law on bidding and take full responsibility for the content of the approved Bidding Documents.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment has requested ACV to review and adjust some contents of the Bidding Documents to ensure competition, fairness, transparency and give priority to domestic contractors with capacity and experience...
