Recently, through intermediaries close to Sporting Lisbon, MU has continuously made offers to transfer Viktor Gyokeres.

Ruben Amorim knows Gyokeres' skills very well and wants to bring him to Old Trafford.

In 2023, Gyokeres joined Sporting and completely transformed while working with Amorim.

Gyokeres scored just three goals in his first 14 appearances for Sweden. However, with Amorim, he scored 12 goals in 12 internationals – most recently a “poker” (4 goals) against Azerbaijan.

Sporting is ready to sit down at the negotiating table with MU. Because, the competition between the "Red Devils" and Arsenal will help the Portuguese football champion increase the transfer price.

The negotiation process between Sporting and Arsenal has lasted for many weeks but has not found a common voice, the only reason being money.

According to Diario AS, Gyokeres refused MU because of coach Ruben Amorim .

The 40-year-old coach had the decisive say in not renewing the contract with Vitor Lindelof – a close friend and the same representative as Gyokeres.

Lindelof has not found a new club yet (currently being brought back to Besiktas by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer), so Gyokeres is angry with Ruben Amorim.

So Gyokeres refused MU, accepted to wait and fight to get to Arsenal.
