In early March, Minh Hang confirmed that she was pregnant with her first child after 9 months of marriage to her businessman husband. The singer of Mot vong Trai dat shared her joy after “3 exhausting flights, 3 whole months and 10 heart-stopping appointments with the doctor.”
According to the singer, she used the IVF method - a technique that uses the husband's sperm and the wife's egg to fertilize in the laboratory, creating an embryo. Then, the embryo will be placed in the wife's ovary and uterus, starting the pregnancy.
The egg stimulation process was shared by Minh Hang in a video on her personal page.
The reason Minh Hang and her husband chose this method was so they could monitor each step and be proactive in having children. She had researched and consulted carefully before making this decision. However, everything that came brought unexpected emotions to Minh Hang.
"Having a child through IVF is my choice. Previously, people thought IVF was for infertile people. However, I don't think so. I decided to use IVF because this technique is advanced and also shows the initiative of modern women," the singer said.
Confiding further, Minh Hang said: “I chose the IVF method so that I could know how everything would happen in order, but it was not like I thought. All the steps I went through made me bewildered. I cannot forget the feeling when I was lying on the bed, knowing that two embryos were transferred into my body. I just felt: 'Oh. So there is a living being living in my body'" , the actress of Sister Sister confided.
Before deciding to get pregnant, the singer spent a whole month traveling with her husband. She finished her work in 2022 and prepared herself mentally to become a mother in 2023. For Minh Hang, this is a challenge because she admits that she has never been afraid of anything in her life, but having a child is a big psychological obstacle.
Realizing her age and to ensure good health for mother and baby, Minh Hang considers IVF to be suitable for her at this time.
“People say 'correct mistakes, give birth' but that's not true for me. For me, everything has to be arranged in order. When people try to do everything well, the results are not necessarily good, let alone waiting for everything to come naturally or just sitting and waiting. I'm also old. Giving birth requires health, so this year I've run all my work and chosen 2023 to be ready to welcome the little creature," said the star born in 1897.
The singer realizes she is no longer young and wants to be proactive in having children.
Currently, the singer is in her 16th week of pregnancy. She maintains her supple body and improves her health with gentle yoga and pilates exercises, which help with blood circulation and prevent swelling later on.
