Ms. Ma Thi Thu Giang, on behalf of her husband - musician and poet Dinh Tram Ca, received support from the program "Mai Vang Nhan Ai"

Ms. Ma Thi Thu Giang - musician Dinh Tram Ca's wife - said that after many years of living in a hospital bed, he is now suffering from many complications of a stroke, with a poor prognosis. "He sometimes remembers and sometimes forgets. Since the recent historic floods, his condition has become even more serious. However, the family is still trying to treat and care for him until the end," Ms. Giang shared.

Faced with the above situation, the program "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" donated 10 million VND to the family of musician Dinh Tram Ca to express gratitude for his persistent contributions to Vietnamese music and literature.

Receiving this amount of money, Ms. Ma Thi Thu Giang - wife of musician Dinh Tram Ca, said she was very grateful for the timely attention, encouragement and support from the "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" program.

"The gift is a great encouragement for the family to continue to fight the disease with musician Dinh Tram Ca. Hopefully the Mai Vang charity program will continue to spread to reach more lives of artists across the country," Ms. Giang expressed.

Musician Dinh Tram Ca, a native of Dien Ban (formerly Quang Nam), is a special case of Vietnamese music: no school, no title, but left a deep impression with a life of compositions imbued with the soul of the countryside.

Since his youth when he wandered to the South, he has done many jobs to make a living, but music is still the thread that keeps him connected to his village memories, his nostalgia for the Central region and the sincere voice of the common people.

Although he considered himself an "amateur", he wrote hundreds of songs, most of which had the Southern folk melody, originating from his own life experiences and sincere love for his country wife in Soc Trang . Dinh Tram Ca's name is associated with "Song Que", a series of songs that have become the musical baggage for many generations of singers, the most prominent of which is Phi Nhung.

The recording of "Sông quê" in 1997 was the turning point that brought Phi Nhung closer to the public, and also an opportunity to affirm the special vitality of the melody and rustic lyrics that the musician created. In addition to "Sông quê", he also left behind many works that are loved by the audience such as "Ru con tinh cu", "Bay di nhung quan mua phan", "Phuong buon", "Noi buon chim sao", "Dieu ho phu the"...

"The candleberry branch, the yellow butterfly does not land/ The song from childhood lulls me to sleep/ The hometown river, the village school, the ferry on the eroding sand/ Because you are far away, it becomes a heartbreaking melody of longing...
