Matheus Cunha has become Man Utd's first big signing of the summer transfer window. To complete the deal, the Red Devils paid £62.5 million to release the Brazilian player from Wolves. Matheus Cunha's contract with the Manchester club will last for 5 years.

According to some sources, Man Utd will pay Matheus Cunha a salary of up to 200,000 pounds a week. This makes the Brazilian star the 4th highest paid player at the club.
This is a contract that is expected to create a boost for Man Utd's attack. Last season, Matheus Cunha scored 15 goals and had 6 assists after 33 appearances in the Premier League. The 1999-born star's achievements are more impressive than any other player at Man Utd.
The Red Devils' two best strikers in the Premier League, Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo, both have only scored 8 goals. Meanwhile, strikers like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are almost harmless. That makes coach Ruben Amorim's playing style seem to hit a dead end.
Speaking on his Man Utd debut, Matheus Cunha said: “It is difficult to describe how I feel about becoming a part of Man Utd. Since I was a child, I used to watch Premier League matches at my grandmother’s house in Brazil.
Man Utd is my favourite team and I have always dreamed of playing for it. Now, my dream has come true. I can't wait for the pre-season meeting, to get to know my new teammates and start a new journey. My goal is to do my best to become an important factor, helping Man Utd return to its position."

Manchester United sporting director Jason Wilcox said: “Signing Matheus Cunha was a priority for us this summer and the fact that this deal was completed so quickly shows the club’s determination.
He has proven his ability in the Premier League as one of the most dangerous strikers in the league. In addition, Matheus Cunha has experience playing in Germany and Spain in the past. This is a player who fits the direction of building a strong, dynamic and entertaining team.
After Matheus Cunha, Man Utd are also negotiating to recruit Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. The Red Devils offered £55 million for the Cameroon striker but was rejected. Tottenham have jumped into the race to sign Mbeumo. They have the advantage of being highly likely to recruit coach Thomas Frank from Brentford. This is Mbeumo's current teacher and has a big influence on this player's career.
On the other hand, Man Utd will have to sell a series of stars such as Garnacho, Rashford, Antony and Sancho to raise transfer funds. They are all not suitable for coach Ruben Amorim and are likely not to be used at Old Trafford next season.
Garnacho is the latest name to openly oppose the Portuguese strategist. Meanwhile, Rashford, Antony and Sancho were all pushed out on loan last season.
