On the afternoon of May 3, Mr. Nguyen Van Minh - Vice Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee, Khanh Hoa Province, said that he had established an interdisciplinary inspection team to verify information posted by tourists on social networks about the food bill at a floating raft on Nha Trang Bay with the price of boxfish at 3.5 million VND/kg.
Previously, some tourists posted on social media about the food and drink bill totaling 2.78 million VND for two guests. Notably, the single boxfish cost 3.5 million VND/kg, 0.5kg cost 1.75 million VND.

Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Hang - owner of Hai Dao seafood raft in Lang Chai, Bai Mieu (Vinh Nguyen ward, Nha Trang city) - confirmed that the floating raft sold the above dishes to the group of tourists.
Before preparing the dishes, the floating rafts have listed prices and publicly displayed fresh food for tourists to choose from. Only when tourists agree will the seafood raft owners process the dishes.
According to Ms. Hang, the reason for the higher price on the mainland is because she has to pay extra "commission" for the canoe to take passengers to the floating raft. If she doesn't pay the "commission", the canoe owner won't take passengers from the mainland.
Ms. Hang also said that she had informed the tourists about this and they all agreed. However, when they left, the group of tourists posted the information on social media. Ms. Hang proactively contacted the group of tourists to return the 780,000 VND.
