Investing 25 billion VND to renovate Bien Ho scenic area

(GLO)- Pleiku City (Gia Lai Province) is actively implementing many urban beautification projects, synchronously investing in infrastructure, landscapes and tourist attractions to improve people's quality of life and develop sustainable tourism, associated with preserving the unique culture of the Central Highlands.

In particular, the project to renovate the entrance gate to Bien Ho scenic area was invested with a total amount of 25 billion VND from the city budget.

The main items include: the main welcome gate is 17.2m wide, 4.4m deep, built with a sturdy reinforced concrete structure, moss green glazed yin-yang tile roof combined with typical traditional patterns; the artistic night lighting system is delicately arranged, creating a highlight for the space.

In addition, the project also includes 10 wooden sculptures with basalt pedestals, 2 public toilets, 3 local product vendors, a guard house, a side gate and a shopping area walkway with a total construction area of ​​over 1,200m². The synchronous technical system is equipped with power supply, lighting, fire protection system and green areas such as ginger grass planted on nearly 2,000m² and mature mai van phuc trees. The project is expected to be completed in October 2025, contributing to enhancing the landscape and cultural values ​​and attracting tourists to Bien Ho.

At the same time, Pleiku City is also implementing the Night Food Street project at the parking lot of Nguyen Thien Thuat-Tran Phu Street (Dien Hong Ward) with a scale of more than 5,700m² and 73 diverse booths from cuisine to OCOP products, typical agricultural products and souvenirs.

The renovation items being completed include a mobile roof, decorative gate, an administration area, public toilets, and a synchronized underground electricity and water supply system. The project is expected to be completed and accepted in June 2025, and officially put into operation in September 2025. This is an important step in developing the night-time economy , promoting trade and services, and attracting tourists to Pleiku.

Previously, Dien Hong Park was also renovated and upgraded with a total investment of more than 31 billion VND, completed by the end of 2024. The park has a "new look" with a newly built main gate, railings around the lake, basalt paved paths and open green space, becoming an attractive destination for people and young people, contributing to creating a modern and friendly urban appearance.

The above-mentioned urban beautification projects and sustainable green tourism development investment are being implemented synchronously by Pleiku City, forming a series of interconnected and complementary projects. Thereby, the city not only improves the quality of the living environment but also expands the tourism space, making an important contribution to promoting sustainable socio-economic development.
