On the evening of May 28, at the special national relic of Quan Thanh Temple ( Hanoi ), the launching ceremony of the night tour "Tran Vu Bell" took place. The 90-minute tour, expected to welcome guests from August, will be held weekly. Each tour will have about 100 guests.

The "Tran Vu Bell" night tour is inspired by the traditional festival celebrating the day the Saint Huyen Thien Tran Vu descended to bless, which is held annually at the temple. Visitors joining the tour will embark on a journey imbued with the colors of Vietnamese folk culture, beliefs and legends.

The night tour was developed by the Ba Dinh District People's Committee and the Management Board of the Quan Thanh Temple National Special Relic in collaboration with researchers and travel agencies. The program is expected to contribute to promoting the heritage value of Quan Thanh Temple, while promoting tourism and economic development in the district.

The night tour begins with the sound of the Tran Vu bell ringing, bringing spiritual meaning and peace to each person's heart, reminding us of the rotation of time and the meaning of life...
Quan Thanh Temple, whose Chinese name is Tran Vu Quan, was built when King Ly Cong Uan moved the capital from Hoa Lu - Ninh Binh to Thang Long in 1010. The temple worships Huyen Thien Tran Vu - the god guarding the North of Thang Long citadel.

The tour program is divided into 2 parts. Part one is elaborately designed with reenactments of traditional festivals, processions, opera performances, congratulatory speeches, traditional costume performances... to praise and show gratitude to the merits of Huyen Thien Tran Vu.
The stage language tells visitors about thousand-year-old cultural values in a familiar, easy-to-understand and attractive way. This is also a way to promote the value of heritage, connecting with the present and the future.

Part 2 is highlighted by the graceful and supple performance of young girls to recreate the story associated with the traditional silk weaving profession. Quan Thanh Temple is located near Truc Bach Lake, where there used to be a bamboo blind making village, and later silk weaving.

Next, visitors can experience the ancient space of the temple, burn incense and pray for good luck. The tour guide will take turns deciphering stories associated with the history of this relic, reviving memories of a sacred land of the ancient capital.

In addition to the statue of Huyen Thien Tran Vu cast in 1677, weighing 4 tons, 3.96m high, inside the temple there is also a crescent-shaped bronze bell, cast in 1794. Quan Thanh Temple was recognized as a National Historical - Cultural Relic in 1962. In 2022, the temple was ranked as a Special National Relic by the Prime Minister.

Mr. Vu An Giang (living in Hanoi) shared that the night tour at Quan Thanh Temple has given visitors a closer look at this thousand-year-old historical relic and unique cultural stories. "I think this tour has great potential, not only attracting international tourists but also appealing to young people. Currently, young people, especially generation Z, love to explore historical relics and ancient cultural works."

After visiting the temple architecture, visitors can relax and experience many cultural activities inside the campus such as wearing traditional costumes with Japanese-style ao dai, Tu than, Ngu than... or enjoying tea and asking for calligraphy.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat, General Director of AZA Tourism Company Limited, Vice President of Hanoi Tourism Association, said that the "Tran Vu Bell" night tour brings visitors many experiences about cultural and historical values in a special space shaded by trees with thousand-year-old structures.
"International tourists really enjoy experiencing night tours with performances recreating historical stories in the middle of a temple yard like this, rather than in the cramped space of a theater. The performances recreating the procession and festival are all good ideas. However, I hope the Organizing Committee can invest and improve further to have more depth and create appeal," said Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat.

Calligrapher Le Van Cuong said: "We have been attached to the temple space for many years. Previously, the group mainly worked on individual calligraphy. The night tour has contributed to creating a space connecting tea drinking, wearing traditional costumes, writing calligraphy, visiting the bronze casting space... bringing newness and excitement to visitors."

The night tour "Tran Vu Bell" contributes to enriching the night experience for domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Hanoi. The organizers expect the program to be a product connecting the depth of ancient culture and the modern life of the capital.
