Social network X crashes globally, cause unknown

Reuters news agency quoted the outage monitoring website Downdetector.com as saying that billionaire Elon Musk's social network X experienced an outage on the evening of August 27, US time (morning of August 28, Vietnam time), leaving many users unable to access the service.

At the peak of the outage, Downdetector.com recorded more than 36,500 reports from users in the US about the X platform not working.

X also stopped working in many other countries, including 3,300 reports in Canada and 1,600 reports in the UK as of 10:20 a.m. on August 28, Vietnam time. Reuters ' update later said that the social network X was back up and running after about an hour of downtime.

The cause of the incident has not yet been determined. Social network X did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters .

In the past, similar outages on social media platforms, especially X, have often been attributed to technical glitches, server overload, or update-related issues.
