Impersonating Deputy Director of Hau Giang Provincial Police to commit fraud

Specifically, the Provincial Police received information that in some units and localities, there were subjects using phone numbers 0948.817.905, 0812.936.413, 0946.308.178, claiming to be Colonel Nguyen Van Gia, Deputy Director of Hau Giang Provincial Police, or claiming to be the Chief of District Police. The subjects requested officers, workers, and civil servants of departments and branches to meet to discuss some work.

Hau Giang Provincial Police announced that Colonel Nguyen Van Gia, Deputy Director of Hau Giang Provincial Police, only used one phone number 0909.055.xxx to contact for work.

The provincial police also affirmed that when the police invite people to work, there will be an invitation or summons sent to that person and they will work directly at the agency headquarters, not work or invite over the phone.
