Thang Binh District Front visits the family of fishermen in distress at sea

(QNO) - On the afternoon of April 15, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thang Binh district visited, encouraged and presented 5 million VND to support the family in Binh Duong commune whose fisherman went missing at sea.

Previously, at about 1:00 a.m. on March 30, 2025, fishing boat QNa-94464 TS captained by Mr. Pham Phu Thuan (Binh Minh commune, Thang Binh) was exploiting aquatic products at sea when he received a radio distress signal from crew member Lam Van Hau (Duy Ha village, Binh Duong commune) because he collided with a cargo ship.

Fishing boat QNa-94464 TS moved to the location of crew member Lam Van Hau but could not find him; on April 7, the family set up an altar at home.

It is known that Mr. Lam Van Hau's family is in very difficult circumstances, his wife is a worker and often sick and is raising two children.

* Previously, the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thang Binh district visited and encouraged the crew members of the fishing boat QNa-05779 TS in Binh Minh commune that had a sinking accident at Cua Dai port (Hoi An city).

At 9:00 a.m. on March 30, 2025, fishing boat QNa-05779 TS of fisherman Tran Phuong (born in 1975, Tan An village, Binh Minh commune) and 2 fishermen who contributed capital, Huynh Vui and Nguyen Dung, while moving to Cua Dai port to anchor to avoid the wind, encountered big waves, the boat lost balance and sank.

The crew members were rescued in time and brought ashore, property damage was estimated at about 1.1 billion VND.

From the Thang Binh District Relief Fund, the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district awarded 3 million VND/sailor; at the same time, they hoped that the sailors would overcome difficulties and mobilize resources to soon rebuild their boats and continue to go out to sea.
