Speaking at the welcoming ceremony for the delegation, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong said that opening the flight route will contribute to making Da Nang a trading center, shortening the distance between the city and strategic markets such as the Middle East, Europe, North America and Africa.

In particular, the flight route was opened in the context that Da Nang is implementing special mechanisms according to Resolution 136 of the National Assembly to aim at becoming an international financial center and free trade zone.

The first flight carrying 333 passengers from Dubai landed at Da Nang International Airport at 7:50 p.m. According to the plan, Emirates will operate four flights per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Besides passenger transport, Emirates is also highly appreciated for the quality and safety in cargo transport.
