Daily Mail reported that Qatar Airways flight QTR36R en route to Doha had to turn back to Manchester Airport (UK) after Iran's attack on the US Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar.

Qatar Airways announced it was suspending all flights after Qatar closed its airspace.

"Due to the impact of the closure of air operations in Qatar, we can confirm the suspension of Qatar Airways flights.

We are working closely with the relevant parties and authorities to assist any affected passengers and will continue operations when airspace reopens. The safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority," Qatar Airways said in a statement on its X network.

The decision to close the airspace came after Qatar blocked an Iranian missile attack on a US military base in Qatar.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially confirmed on June 23 that it had carried out a retaliatory missile attack on the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported.

Qatar said it had temporarily closed its airspace as part of measures taken to ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
