HCMC Metro Line 1 runs through Tet At Ty

(Dan Tri) - The Department of Transport has just announced the organization of Metro No. 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien train operation to serve the Lunar New Year 2025. On New Year's Eve, Metro No. 1 will run an additional trip from 0:30 to 2:00 a.m. to serve the people.

From January 24 to January 28 (December 25-29), Metro Line 1 operates from 5am to 11pm. On January 29 (January 1), an additional train will run from 0:30am to 2am, and the next time slot will be from 5am to 10pm. From January 30 to February 2 (2nd to 5th), the train will run from 5am to 10pm.

According to the leader of Metro Line 1 (HURC1), the number of trips and the time between trips will be adjusted appropriately and flexibly according to the actual situation.

After 1 month of official operation, Metro Line 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien ran 5,408 trains, serving more than 2.6 million passengers, exceeding the planned target by 246%.

Metro Line 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien is the first metro line built and put into operation in Ho Chi Minh City with a length of 19.7km, connecting the center of District 1 with the eastern area such as Binh Thanh and Thu Duc city.

Initially, Metro Line 1 operates from 5am to 10pm every day, with the first trip departing at 5am and the last trip departing at 10pm.

Each train carries a maximum of 930 passengers (including 147 seats and 783 standing seats), with an interval of 8-12 minutes per trip, with 200 trips per day. Speed ​​110km/h (elevated section) and 80km/h (underground section).
