
The exhibition “50 years of educational innovation: Imprints of the times - Aspirations for the future” was officially opened at the Reunification Palace, displaying 125 photos and 9 booths, along with 5 areas according to 5 historical periods, outlining the half-century development journey of the Education and Training sector of Ho Chi Minh City. The event took place from November 16 to 20, attracting a large number of teachers, students and parents to attend.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, emphasized: "The Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training sector has constantly innovated, overcome difficulties to become a bright spot of the country in terms of scale, quality and digital transformation, aiming to become the educational center of the region."

Mr. Thanh also praised the industry's outstanding achievements in the innovation period, including promoting technology application, developing STEM education, transforming to an educational model that develops learners' capacity and qualities, building "Smart Schools", "Digital Schools", "Happy Schools", and improving students' English proficiency.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, and delegates visited the exhibition booths.

The exhibition areas are designed in a modern, technologically advanced manner, with images that realistically and vividly reflect the development journey of the Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training sector.

The booth of EMG Education, a unit that cooperated with the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City to implement the integrated English program, introduced breakthrough English learning methods using AI applications and virtual classrooms on the Metaverse platform, helping students learn math and science in English effectively.

Thien An (10 years old) shared: "I am very excited to directly interact with smart robots that combine AI intelligence. This helps us be more proactive in communicating and learning in English."

KDI Education's booth showcased a range of products that applied STEM methods to teaching, from robotic arms to ant robots. Through these visual models, students could get acquainted with electronic circuit boards, experience 3D printing and directly control robots with handles, creating opportunities to learn while practicing, touching technology instead of just listening to lectures.


The opening ceremony started at 7am, with the participation of hundreds of teachers and primary, secondary and high school students in the city, attending the ceremony and visiting the exhibition booths.

The exhibition "50 years of educational innovation: Marks of the times - Aspirations for the future" is an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training and the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2025). This is an important milestone that recognizes the remarkable development of the country's education and opens up expectations for positive changes in the future.
