According to forecast information from AccuWeather (USA), on May 8 and 9, the North will experience a widespread heat wave, with the highest intensity concentrated in the midlands and deltas.

The temperature gradually decreases from the Northwest to the Northeast and the coast (like Hai Phong ).
Specifically as follows:
Northwest : The highest temperature ranges from 34-37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius. Provinces such as Son La, Dien Bien , Lao Cai, and Hoa Binh suffer the most intense heat.
Northeast : The highest temperature is commonly 32-35 degrees Celsius, some places above 35 degrees Celsius. Areas such as Ha Giang, Lang Son, Bac Giang , Bac Ninh will be hot, but the intensity is lower than the Northwest.
Hanoi : The highest temperature is about 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places above 36 degrees Celsius.
This heat wave is most intense in the Northwest and the Northern midlands. People should limit outdoor activities at noon, drink enough water and be on guard against the risk of fire and explosion due to the hot, dry weather.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, by the evening of May 9, a weak cold front will move in, causing scattered showers and thunderstorms, ending the heat wave in the North. The temperature in Hanoi is expected to drop by about 6 degrees Celsius on May 10.
Thus, before the cold air causes rain, the North and Central regions will have two days of widespread severe heat.
On May 7, the Central Highlands and the South will continue to experience hot weather during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, with some places experiencing heavy rain and dangerous weather phenomena.
Currently, the Central Highlands and the South are still in the transitional season, leading to strong weather fluctuations, with extreme phenomena such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind, especially in the evening.
Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern provinces have temperatures of 23-34 degrees Celsius, with some places reaching 35 degrees Celsius. The hot days last until the afternoon, with showers and thunderstorms in the evening, possibly accompanied by dangerous weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail...
Recommendations from the hydrometeorological agency are to limit going out during peak hot hours from 12-16 o'clock.
