The new trains will be operated on the HP1/HP2, LP5/LP6, LP2/LP3 and LP7/LP8 train brands.
The highlight of the new train is the exterior design with the brilliant red color of the Royal Poinciana flower, a typical symbol of Hai Phong city. The interior space is designed in a modern and luxurious style, combining the Indochinese architectural style with the typical culture of the Port City, creating an interesting experience for visitors on each journey.
Notably, for the first time, the Vietnam Railways industry will operate a 34-seat VIP car with luxurious interiors, natural wood floors, free wifi and a bar serving free drinks. This will also be a unique mobile check-in location and host music performances for passengers throughout the trip.

In addition, the 56-seat carriage is equipped with 180-degree rotating seats, helping passengers easily adjust their seating direction, limiting motion sickness when sitting in the opposite direction. Amenities such as semi-automatic doors, electronic boards displaying train speed and position, spacious restrooms, high-quality plastic carpet floors, and marble-patterned plastic walls are also invested in synchronously.
Ticket prices are flexibly applied according to each carriage class and travel time.
Specifically, special ticket class (34-seat VIP car) costs from 250,000 VND to 300,000 VND/ticket.
First class tickets (56-seat cabin) from 150,000 VND to 180,000 VND/ticket.
Economy class tickets from 105,000 VND to 130,000 VND/ticket.
VIP passengers are served a free drink of their choice, first class passengers are served a bottle of mineral water.
In particular, during the opening week from May 10 to May 18, 2025, the railway industry will reduce 10% of ticket prices on all trains on the Hanoi-Hai Phong route.
