Students can register for 8 grade 10 wishes.

Accordingly, from 3:00 p.m. on May 2 to 5:00 p.m. on May 10 at the latest, parents and students can access the 10th grade admissions portal at ts10.hcm.edu.vn and use the account provided by the 9th grade homeroom teacher to each student to register their 10th grade wishes online.

Each student can register for a maximum of 8 wishes, including 3 wishes for regular grade 10, 2 wishes for specialized classes, and 3 wishes for integrated English grade 10. The wishes are arranged in order of priority from top to bottom. If a wish is accepted, the candidate must study that wish and cannot change the order or content.

According to regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, candidates will take the 10th grade exam on June 6-7 with subjects such as literature, foreign language, math and specialized/integrated subjects.

Mr. Nguyen Vo Dang Khoa, Deputy Head of Testing and Quality Control Department of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, informed that the 10th grade admission score is usually the total score of the literature, math, foreign language exams and priority and incentive points (if any).

Only consider candidates who participate in the entrance exam, take all required exams, do not violate the regulations of the entrance exam and all exams have a score greater than 0.

Based on the quota, the number of candidates registering for their wishes and the total score of the 3 exams, the Department of Education and Training reviews and announces the benchmark scores of each school according to the principle that the benchmark score for wish 2 is not lower than the benchmark score for wish 1 and the benchmark score for wish 3 is not lower than the benchmark score for wish 2. In some cases, the benchmark scores between the 3 wishes may be equal depending on the number of candidates registering for each wish.

The admission score for specialized grade 10 is the sum of the scores of the literature, math, foreign language exams and the specialized subject score (coefficient 2).

The integrated English grade 10 admission score is the total score of the literature, math, foreign language and integrated English exams.

6 principles to note when choosing 10th grade wishes

In which, choice 1: The school that they like the most, has a standard score close to their academic ability or a little higher if they are confident in their abilities. Choice 2: The school has a standard score slightly lower than choice 1 to ensure safety. Choice 3: The school has a standard score much lower than choice 1 and choice 2 to increase the chance of admission. Note that you should avoid choosing all 3 choices to schools with standard scores that are too high compared to your ability because that can easily lead to failure in all 3 choices.

Third : Before deciding on your choice, parents and students should refer to the benchmark scores of the last 3 years to get an overview of the benchmark scores of the schools and compare the admission scores of each school.
