"Bridge" to share experiences

Having the opportunity to visit Regiment 98 on the weekend, we saw that besides the recreational and sports activities, the officers and soldiers of the unit also enthusiastically followed the contents of the model training session organized by the Regiment's "Excellent Training Club". The atmosphere on the training ground was lively and exciting, demonstrating the spirit of learning and progress of the officers and soldiers.

Talking to us, Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Minh Tam, Deputy Regiment Commander, Chief of Staff of Regiment 98, said: The model of "Excellent Training Club" was born from the requirement to build a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and typical", in which combat readiness training is the key task. In reality, a number of young officers and cadres of the unit still lack practical experience, especially command and troop management skills and professional knowledge. Therefore, the Club was established as a "bridge" for experienced cadres to impart and share knowledge, skills and experiences with young cadres, especially in methods and styles of command and training in a systematic and effective manner.

Thoroughly understand the purpose and requirements before entering training at Company 10, Battalion 9, Regiment 98 (Division 316, Military Region 2).

It is known that, to ensure the depth and effectiveness, the "Excellent Training Club" of Regiment 98 is organized into 4 specialized teams, including: Infantry combat techniques training team; Tactical training team; Command training team and Physical training team. Each team is built with 6 members who are core, experienced cadres, carefully selected. The core task of the teams is to research, compile plans and sample lesson plans, conduct practice and approve lesson plans and lectures before the Regiment commander, then serve as a model for the entire unit.

On Friday afternoons and holidays, the teams in the Club will organize model training. The Regiment Commander and the squads create conditions and encourage the cadres to observe, learn and contribute ideas. The goal of the Club is to standardize lectures and training topics to ensure consistency, regularity and improve the quality of training throughout the Regiment. The highlight of the "Good Training Club" model is the "hands-on" method, emphasizing the transfer of experience from predecessors to successors. Experienced cadres will directly implement, guide and explain in detail the contents that need attention to young cadres; at the same time, give comments and correct exercises, helping young cadres to quickly progress and improve their qualifications and capacity.

Spread the point model

After carefully watching the members of the Infantry Combat Technical Training Team skillfully perform tactical movements, Lieutenant Nguyen Anh Duc, Platoon Leader of Platoon 6, Company 10, Battalion 9, shared: "On the first day of my assignment, I was still confused and bewildered in managing and training soldiers. Although I had received thorough training at school, when applying it to the unit, I encountered many difficulties. In particular, imparting knowledge and skills to soldiers in an easy-to-understand and easy-to-remember way was a big challenge. By observing the teams in the "Good Training Club" organizing model training, I learned many skills and training methods. Up to now, I can handle the training content well according to the responsibilities and assignments of the unit commander".

Lieutenant Dao Manh Hung, Platoon Leader of Platoon 11, Company 8, Battalion 8, said: "When observing the model teams practicing training, I was really impressed because they not only had a solid grasp of theory but also performed movements very skillfully, accurately, and decisively. I realized that, although knowledge from school is an important foundation, in reality, the unit requires flexibility and a high level of improvisation. By observing the model teams, I learned a lot of valuable experiences, from how to organize the formation, move smoothly to the method of communicating clear and coherent orders."

Through research, we learned that the "Excellent Training Club" of Regiment 98 has proven to be a model that has brought about clear results, and has been replicated throughout Division 316. Through this model, the qualifications and capacity of the staff have been significantly improved, especially the young staff who have become more confident in training and managing troops, and have the ability to handle situations flexibly and creatively, master pedagogical methods, and effectively convey knowledge. In addition, soldiers also have a firm grasp of knowledge and skills, and successfully complete assigned tasks. The results of the annual training inspection show that 100% of the subjects and test contents of Regiment 98 meet the requirements or higher, of which over 85% are good and excellent. The "Excellent Training Club" model also creates motivation for competition, encourages officers and soldiers to constantly learn and improve their qualifications; At the same time, it strengthens the spirit of solidarity and unity between officers and soldiers, creates collective strength, improves the effectiveness of all aspects of work and contributes to building a healthy military cultural environment.
