Binh Thuan commune currently has about 20 intra-field roads, with a total length of over 60 km, of which the length has been concreted by November 2025 reaching over 80%. The minimum width of intra-field roads is from 3 m or more, basically meeting the needs of people for travel, transporting goods and agricultural products. However, with the orientation of eco -tourism development, along with the fact that the number of tourists to the commune is increasing, with many large vehicles, sometimes causing congestion, taking a long time to clear the road. Therefore, it is necessary to expand intra-field roads leading to the tea hills and arrange parking lots to ensure convenience for tourists as well as people's production activities.
Mr. Pham Quang Huy, Secretary of the Binh Thuan Commune Party Committee, said: With the orientation of economic development based on exploiting the potential and advantages of the locality. At the same time, promoting the development of eco-tourism combined with local cultural experiences. In the last months of 2025, the Commune Party Committee directed the Commune People's Committee and specialized departments to review routes with the potential for expansion. From there, propaganda and mobilization of people to donate land for road construction, striving to complete the concrete paving of roads before December 31 this year.
To create consensus among the people, the Commune Party Committee directed the Party cell and the management board of the villages to propagate to all Party members and people the policy; information on agricultural economic orientation, associated with tourism and service development in the period 2025-2030. In particular, it emphasized the need to expand intra-field and intra-village roads to the people, creating consensus and voluntary land donation. Thanks to that, the progress of site clearance was implemented in November.
Mr. Tran Dinh Kien, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Kien Xuong village, said: To implement the policy of expanding the internal roads, the village organized a meeting to deploy to all the people in the village. At the same time, taking advantage of the evening, the Village Management Board visited the families where the road passed to propagate to the people to understand more about the benefits of expanding the road, so they all voluntarily donated land to build the road. Up to now, more than 20 households have voluntarily donated over 900 m² of land to expand the road.
Ms. Hoang Kim Ngan, Dong Quan village, Binh Thuan commune, shared: After receiving the notice of the expansion of the roads this time, including a section of road passing through my family's land. I discussed with my family and agreed to remove the tea trees, voluntarily move the fence back 2-5 meters along the family's land to expand the road, with a total area of 60 square meters. When there is a wide road, it will be convenient to travel, transport, and trade goods, which will be a premise for the people of Binh Thuan commune to have the opportunity to develop tourism.
"The Party's will meets the people's will", the movement to donate land to expand traffic routes has spread strongly in Binh Thuan commune. In November 2025 alone, people in Kien Xuong, Dong Quan and Quynh Tien Hung villages donated 3,000 m² of land; uprooted 1,800 tea trees about 10 years old to expand the road surface. With the motto "State support, people work together", up to now, the commune is constructing and expanding more than 6 km of traffic routes, with a total value of over 3 billion VND; of which, people contributed nearly 1 billion VND in cash, the rest is from the State budget. In addition, people have participated in over 300 laborers planting flowers and cypress trees on both sides of the road, to create a green, beautiful and attractive landscape for tourists to visit the tea hills.
The movement of donating land to expand intra-field roads in Binh Thuan commune has created a beautiful image of solidarity and community responsibility, as well as creating momentum for socio-economic development and accelerating the progress of new rural construction in the locality.
