At the reception, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi expressed her deep gratitude to Consul General Mori Takero and the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang for their important support in the past time. The cooperative efforts have contributed significantly to the implementation of exchange activities, promoting the partnership between Da Nang and Japanese localities and organizations.
Vice President Nguyen Thi Anh Thi informed about Da Nang's outstanding development policies, especially Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 passed by the National Assembly in June 2024. This Resolution affirms the orientation of building Da Nang into a regional financial center and piloting a Free Trade Zone - the foundation for creating a breakthrough development of the city.
Currently, the City People's Committee is developing a Project to establish a Free Trade Zone and will submit it to the Prime Minister for approval in the near future. This is the premise for Da Nang City to create a more breakthrough, faster, and more drastic development, joining the whole country in entering a new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

Faced with these opportunities, Da Nang city hopes that Japan will support the introduction and connection of programs to exempt and reduce tuition fees and costs for organizing high-quality short-term training courses for leaders, managers and policy experts on applicable contents and topics, meeting the practical requirements of state management in the city; in which priority is given to Japan's strengths such as Public Administration, Urban Planning, Healthcare, Innovative Startups, Ecosystem and Natural Resource Management; High-tech Agricultural Products and Fisheries, etc.
In addition, support Da Nang city to organize a survey course on the model of decentralization of state management between the central and local governments in some localities of Japan in 2025. Invite Japanese experts to participate in major projects of Da Nang, especially in areas such as free trade, finance, high technology, and semiconductors.
At the same time, the city wishes to connect with public universities in Japan to expand study abroad opportunities for Da Nang students. In particular, it supports and guides Japanese educational institutions to coordinate with high schools in Da Nang to organize international conferences and seminars, thereby enhancing bilateral understanding and cooperation.

Consul General Mori Takero expressed his agreement with the proposals of Da Nang city and pledged to actively support the realization of cooperation programs. He also emphasized the role of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) as a bridge to help the young generation of Da Nang access advanced Japanese education, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the city.
