On December 1, the 2024 "District 10: Community Run" organized by the District Party Committee - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of District 10 will officially take place at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology area.

The "District 10: Community Run" race takes place on December 1, 2024.

Held in one of the busiest areas of Ho Chi Minh City, the running tournament has attracted the participation of a large number of officials, civil servants, public employees, students, armed forces, and people from all walks of life, from professional athletes to those who are new to running. The running tournament was launched in early September 2024, and to date, nearly 2,500 athletes have registered to participate.

Mr. Bui The Hai - District Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of District 10 People's Committee said: This is the first time District 10 has organized a running competition, so the professional units always try to ensure close and serious coordination in all conditions from facilities to security and health . In particular, the running routes have been surveyed and designed to be safe and convenient for participating athletes.

In addition, the support for athletes, volunteer teams, and incident prevention measures are carefully and thoughtfully prepared. We believe that this running tournament will bring memorable moments, not only a sports competition but also an opportunity for each of us to raise awareness of a healthy, active lifestyle, explore tourist destinations in District 10 and together contribute to activities to care for, share, and help those in difficult circumstances in society.

Running distances from 3km, 5km to 10km all bring challenges suitable for many participants, from beginners to professional athletes.

Contribute to helping people in difficult circumstances

What makes the District 10 Running Race special and meaningful is the fundraising goal "For the poor in District 10". Each participant in the race not only brings benefits to their personal health but also joins hands to help people in difficult circumstances in the locality. The representative of the Organizing Committee said that 100,000 VND from each ticket participating in the Race will be donated to the "For the poor" Fund of District 10 in 2024 to carry out social security work.

"The District 10 Running Race is an opportunity for people from different walks of life to join together for a common goal: improving health and helping the less fortunate. Hopefully in the coming years, the race will continue to develop and become an important event, motivating community activities, promoting tourism and bringing practical benefits to people in difficult circumstances," Mr. Bui The Hai affirmed.
