On May 16, the Departmentof Education and Training of Dong Nai province said it had received information about the incident in which a male student was beaten by a group of people in Dinh Quan district. The clip then spread on social networks, causing public outrage.
According to initial verification, the incident occurred at around 5:25 p.m. on May 12 at a cashew garden near Suoi Nho Secondary and High School (Suoi Nho Commune, Dinh Quan District). The victim was NPP, an 8th/9th grade student at the school.

The four people involved in beating P. included: NHP (6th grade student), TVNB (8th grade student at the same school as the victim), and two students NHL and NHA (who have dropped out of school).
The clip shows P. sitting on a motorbike when suddenly a group of teenagers pulled him onto the street and repeatedly assaulted him with their hands, feet, and helmets. Even though P. kept saying “I didn’t do anything to you guys,” the group continued to beat him. Many students witnessed the incident but no one intervened.
Currently, the leaders of Suoi Nho Secondary and High School have invited the students and parents involved to work. The school visited and encouraged P., and informed that his health and spirit have stabilized and he is taking the semester exam.
The school also worked with the parents of the offending students, clearly analyzing that fighting is a violation of the law and asking the families to cooperate in overcoming the consequences, not allowing similar incidents to recur.
