KON TUM - Thanh Hang suggests new places with beautiful natural scenery in Mang Den and a one-day exploration schedule.

Nguyen Thanh Hang, 24 years old, from Hanoi , moved to Mang Den to live and work for 8 months. During her time here, she spent her weekends, separating herself from work, exploring every corner of this resort town.

"Many people say Mang Den is sad, with few places to visit, and all you can see is Pa Sy waterfall, the Virgin Mary statue, Dak Ke lake, Kon Bring village... But the truth is that Mang Den has many other new destinations, few people know about, and associated with natural scenery. These are the places that locals recommended to me," Thanh Hang shared.

If you wake up early, 5am is the ideal time to go cloud hunting in the Tran Nhan Tong area . At this location, you can see the sea of clouds floating right below your feet. Around 6am, the sun begins to appear and the clouds gradually disperse.

To get here, you will go through quite beautiful forest roads, deserted, you can stop to rest and take pictures. Forest roads with sunlight through the foliage are a specialty of Mang Den town.

In Mang Den, there are many roads surrounded by layers of mountains, located between tall pine forests. Passing through these roads, you will occasionally hear the sound of streams flowing.

At around 8am, go to the old Mang Den airport and take pictures with the reed grass field. This is currently an empty lot, with no one managing it, so you can freely come and go, but you need to maintain hygiene and general order. The reed field at the old airport is not well known so it is quite wild, with old reeds as high as your head.

Lo Ba Waterfall (Road No. 1, the beginning of Mang Den town) is the next destination. The waterfall is over 40 m high with over 250 steps leading down to the stream. The water of Lo Ba Waterfall carries the cold mountain air originating from the top of Mang But, Dak Tang, Mang Canh, pouring down, creating white foam.

In 2015, Kon Plong district (Kon Tum) invested in a new road to serve the people coming here. The road is concreted, with some steep sections that are difficult to travel. You should go by motorbike because you will pass through green pine forests and primeval forests, with the scent of coffee flowers.

Kon Tu Rang suspension bridge is 10 km from Mang Den town. The bridge crosses a river with many large and small natural rocks interwoven. On both sides of the river are rice fields forming long waves under the sun. "The scene is like a giant painting right below our feet. It was worth the effort to drive more than 10 km to get here," Hang said.

Exploring Kon Tu Rang village under the bridge in the afternoon is the next suggestion. Hang and her group of friends drove to the dam area near the statue of the Virgin Mary. At the bend from Highway 24 and Ngo Quyen Street, there is a small lake, deserted but with houses being built for road workers.

Arrived here at 5pm, the sunset was just beautiful to end a perfect day.

The above locations are all located in Mang Den town, so you can move quickly, mainly for sightseeing and taking photos. You can quickly return to the homestay for a lunch break or stop by a coffee shop to recharge for the afternoon journey. In addition, these places are free to enter and exit, quite deserted, and few people know about them. You only need to fill up a gas tank from 80,000 to 100,000 VND for the whole day of travel. Add lunch and coffee costs about 200,000 VND.
