Participating in the contest, 10 typical cultural families from 10 districts and cities representing ethnic groups in the province showed off their culinary skills, creating 10 delicious meals with traditional culinary characteristics.
Nearly 60 dishes are prepared in unique ways with ingredients from wild vegetables, stream fish, smoked meat, products harvested from the fields or available in the home garden, skillfully prepared, delicately presented, creatively arranged, conveying many meanings of love and affection in the family.

These are rustic dishes made from mountain and forest products, grilled over charcoal and fire. The aroma of bamboo rice, grilled meat, shrimp, grilled fish, grilled wild bamboo shoots, buffalo skin cooked with bitter eggplant, betel leaf soup, cassava leaves, and wild bamboo shoots of the Ma and K'Ho people.

The difference of each dish is also due to the way it is marinated and processed with materials such as bamboo tubes, banana leaves, etc., combined with spices also taken from the mountains and forests. Dishes such as "khau nhuc" (pork belly) and "banh day" (sticky rice cake) on the family dinner trays of the Tay and Nung people are elaborately and meticulously prepared through many stages, creating unforgettable flavors.
Notably, along with the colorful vegetables, tubers, and fruits harvested from the Don Duong vegetable area, Mr. Luu Quang Vu's family has created a sumptuous meal, delicately presented. The Kinh people's rice, soup, fried, and stir-fried dishes are elaborately and beautifully decorated, imbued with the beauty of Vietnamese cuisine.
